The district has a new Attendance Recovery option that allows students (K-12) to make up days missed and learning lost.

A: Students can recover up to 5 days per semester. Recovery days do not roll over from one semester to the next.

Q: How can students recover days missed?

A:  Students can recover days through tutorial and postsecondary (college, military, or workforce) visits.

Q: How will students know that they need to recover or make up days?

A:  Schools will notify parents/guardians and students if they need to make up/recover days missed as well as the dates for recovery.

Q: What happens if my student does not recover missed days?

A: Students with 10 or more unexcused (unverified) absences may request an attendance waiver. If the waiver is not approved, the student will not receive credit for the course or be promoted to the next grade level.
