Title IV, Part B –21st Century Community Learning Centers

The SCCPSS Title IV, Part B, 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) Program provides federal funding to support the creation or expansion of community learning centers that operate during non-school hours. The program's mission, goals and objectives are:

Mission:

We aim to provide students, particularly those who attend high-poverty and low-performing schools, with opportunities for academic enrichment and tutorial services.

Goal:

Our goal is to help students meet state and local standards in core academic areas, such as reading and math, offer a wide range of fun and engaging enrichment activities to complement their regular academic programs and provide literacy and other educational services to the families of participating children.

Objectives:

1. Improve Academic Achievement (ELA & Math)

2. Improve Youth Development

3. Improve Family Engagement
